X1091 Exptl. Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KW. 9th October, 1935. Capt. S.B. Wilks, The Rover Company Limited, Coventry. Dear Wilks, Thank you for your letter of the 8th. I think the customer gets more out of a good rubber engine mounting than out of a dynamically balanced crankshaft. I have found that our Conduit Street Office seem to have gone "Rover-minded"! Have you got any of our Aircraft sub-contracting work yet ? We should like you and your brother to pay us another visit after the Motor Show if you can manage it. How are you making out with TEL ? Several firms who had never heard of exhaust valve trouble twelve months ago now seem to be in difficulties. Can you get up a squash team to play the local side ? Yours sincerely, | ||
