Sidgreaves - MD}6/D21.7.36 Re: Car for Tourist Trophy Race 1936 Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}19/KW.13.7.36, I communicated with Mr. Hall relative to the first two paragraphs. He either was already going or went specially to Glasgow to see Dr. Young (India Tyre Technician). Mr. Hall tells me that Dr. Young appreciates the point about the extra weight and horse power and after reviewing the whole matter is satisfied that the one set of tyres will go satisfactorily through the Race. I gather he is contemplating using the larger size (I think he said 700) instead of 650, but both sizes will be sent over to the Isle of Man, so that a decision can be taken on the spot. I do not know who is dealing with the petrol tank, but he says it would help Mr. Ridlington, who is building the body, if the petrol tank could be fitted in London before the end of this month and he would appreciate the services of Radcliffe to supervise this.
