500b. HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}18/R.18.12.36. CONTINENTAL P.III. We have promised to send the P.III chassis down to Barkers by the end of the first week in January. We anticipate that this chassis will be at the Coachbuilders from three weeks to a month while the body is fitted. We do not want to put pieces on the chassis on which we can successfully work, and then have them stand about for this length of time. Will you, therefore, please arrange to fit a dummy engine, and, if necessary, a dummy gearbox. The final radiator will have to be fitted, so that the wings can be finished off by the Coachbuilders. The chassis can, of course, go down by rail. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
