To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} 261 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}9/JH.30.6.37. Bentley B-42-FB - Staniland. The above car was being delivered to Lillie Hall when after 100 miles (total mileage on speedometer 32,000) a big end unfortunately failed. The car was coaxed along at 20/25 M.P.H. to Kingsbury depot for attention and was left there pending instructions from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} The oil pressure still recorded 15 lbs.sq.in. at 25 M.P.H. after the failure and 4,000 R.P.M. was the maximum during the run to London.
