Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Field.

We require some discs for a Hand Starter Clutch. These discs are always in engagement, working under light loads and the only slipping they have to do is when a back-fire occurs. The discs would have to work in a oily condition.

The main feature required from these discs is a high co-efficient of friction.

We should be obliged if you could tell us what material would be the most suitable for this purpose.

We send you herewith a blueprint of the required discs. Perhaps when you have selected a material, you will let us know what these discs would cost per set of eight.

Yours faithfully,
