Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} X3408 ROY{Sir Henry Royce}2/MG15.2.27 Brake Linings Can we help you any further with the tests you are making with the two types of Brake Lining ex Messrs. Morgan Crossley & Company? The type "F" you will recollect is the softer, and type "T" they claim is the densest hydraulically moulded quality they can produce, both being produced in Asbestos cotton, and prepared to give less than the usual co-efficient of friction Messrs. Morgan Crossley aim at, in line with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s request. As far as cost is concerned, I find there is an enormous difference between Morgan Crossley's figures and those we are paying Ferodo - in fact, based on last year's turnover with Ferodo, the substitution of Morgan Crossley material would show us a saving of £2000 to £2500 per year.on our purchases.
