1204. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/R.29.8.38. A.R.P. In the event of an Air Raid, it is essential that all experimental cars which are in a running condition should be got out of the Factory. Arrangements should be made with the Telephone Exchange so that notification of any hostilities is passed to the Garage as soon as it is received. A car and driver should at once be put at Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}' disposal, and if he can be located he should be consulted as to any further requirements with regard to transport. The remaining cars should be driven direct to Shardlow, and a tester must be continually on duty there with the cars until other arrangements are made. At all times cars should as far as possible be kept filled up, and a day to day organisation should be made so that at any time any runable car will have a driver allotted to it who will be responsible for getting it out of the Factory in case of an emergency. These instructions will hold good until altered or modified by the Administration. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
