Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 4th instant and wish to inform you that we hope to be able to despatch the twenty-four special valve springs to you by the end of this week. We regret the delay that has occurred in the delivery of these springs. This has been caused by the fact that we found that those springs which we made by hand were not entirely to our satisfaction, and it was necessary to start all over again with production on our machines, which, as we informed you recently, were very much booked up. We trust that you have not been caused any great inconvenience by this short delay. Assuring you of our best attention at all times, Yours faithfully, The Tempered Spring Co., Ltd. Gerard Y.
