To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} G.H. [crossed out] C.J. [crossed out] H.B. [crossed out] H.T. [crossed out] E.F.C. [crossed out] X 4263 ORIGINAL RE "GOSHAWK II" - ARRANGEMENT OF FRONT AXLE AND CROSS STEERING TUBE. Referring to the cross steering joint for the would you kindly note that Mr. Royce now thinks that this should be made with the sleeve in one piece, having pinching up bolts only on the bottom side. The outer portion of the sleeve on the bottom side will have a saw-cut, whilst the portion that clips on to the end of the steering tube will have a passage-way which is just wide enough to admit the neck of the ball. The bolts passing across this passage-way may still bite in as before. The cotter bolt will be used as before. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} RECEIVED [stamp] RECEIVED [stamp] | ||
