Replying to your memo C4/C.22.3.35, the only places where we have specified Silento behind panels is where windows are fitted and water can run in.
We should prefer to use the felt but under these conditions it is definitely unsuitable.

We have, therefore, specified Silento as we understand that it is water proof.

If there is any other material more akin to the nature of felt, but at the same time non-absorbent, we should prefer to use that in place of Silento.
