| X236 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}22/KW. 31st January, 1936. The Light Production Co.Ltd., 60/66, Rochester Row, Westminster, LONDON, S.W.1. For the attention of Mr. Brooks. Dear Sirs, We should like you to supply to us as soon as possible the following sets of piston rings :- 3¼" Bore. 36 Compression Rings for .002" oversize bore. 18 Scraper Rings for .002" oversize bore having .105 width of groove. 3½" Bore. 72 Compression rings for .003" oversize bore. 36 Scraper rings for .003 oversize bore having .105 width of groove to our drawing EB.2686. With regard to pistons under test, we find that we have managed to crack the Production type of piston after 50 hours endurance. This type of piston is of course the one that has been strengthened below the heat break sawcut, and our opinion is that it is slightly better than the previous type of piston. | ||
