X.3457 With reference to R's memo R8/G27819., you will notice that Mr. Royce states that all back axles when they are taken down for examination can have diaphragms fitted to the rear end of the axle tubes so as to reduce the risk of oil getting on to the rear brakes. We should like to know if any design is being got out for this. At present we have no instructions what to do. We think that if Mr. Day would give us a sketch we could get some of these tested.
