NOT ON AGENDA. Improvements to P.II. chassis. (Cont'd)
with the engine improvements suggested also with
Silent Second with Synchro-mesh
Adjustable dampers auto control with
over-riding hand control.
Wider brake drums.
Resonant silencer of larger capacity.
Radiator with ribbon type matrix.
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} raised the question of intake silencers and exhibited a photograph of the latest effort.
It was considered that the second 50 of G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Series may have this modification but a decision will be made later.
Design alteration is necessary to move the silencer closer to the engine. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} will see to this.
Eg. raised the question of the operation of the starting handle hole cover and said it was not easy to see how this cover could be moved so as to allow of the insertion of the starting handle.
Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} promised to look into this and submit an alternative design which will be more satisfactory.
