Air Ministry,
London, W.C.2.

Ref: 576387/25/R.T.P.
30 October 1925.

Gentlemen,

Visits to Experimental Establishments.

Adverting to this Department's letter of the 8th. September last, dealing with permanent passes, I am directed to inform you that should it become essential for a member of your staff, other than those holding permanent passes, to visit any of the Experimental Establishments, it will be necessary for them to be in possession of an Air Ministry pass. In order that this may be carried into effect, it is requested that application for such passes should be made to the Secretary, Air Ministry, (for the attention of R.T.P.), prior to the proposed visit, giving sufficient time for the pass to be forwarded, and the necessary arrangements made with the Experimental Establishment.

The application should state the name of the person, the special business for which the visit is necessary, the date and probable duration of the visit (i.e., whether for one day or longer), and the approximate time of arrival.

The Experimental Establishments have been given explicit instructions that no persons are to be admitted unless they are in possession of an Air Ministry pass, and it will therefore be seen that in order to prevent waste of time and misunderstandings, the course outlined above should be adopted in every case.

I am,
Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,

(Sgd) F.{Mr Friese} Wilkinson.

Flight Lieut.
for Director of Technical Development.
