Engine returned to test bed. 1 cycle.(Dirty oil inserted in sump. (External filter removed. (Start up, run 30 mins at 3500 r.p.m. light. (Shut down and allow to cool from 80°C to 15°C. 50 cycles completed. Result: wear - nil. (B) TEST NO. 1. Parts under test. Cyls. 1, 2 and 3 Sheepbridge Stokes liners. Cyls. 4, 5 and 6 R.R. Phosphor Chrome. Mobiloil Arctic oil. Method of Test. 1 cycle( Start up, and run immediately at 500 r.p.m. light for 15 ( minutes (water temp. reached 80°C). ( Shut down and run cold water through the engine for 15 minutes. 100 cycles completed. Result: wear - .0004". | ||
