Method of test. Start up and run 30 mins. at 1500 r.p.m. Shut down and allow to cool from 80°C to 50°C. Result: Wear - .0002 (total = .0006) TEST No. 3. Engine removed to cold chamber. Parts under test: As Test No.1 (same liners). Method of test. 1 cycle. (Start up, run at 1500 r.p.m. till water temp. reaches 80°C. Shut down and allow to cool to 0°C. (1 hr. 15 mins. stop). 50 cycles completed. Result: Wear - nil. (total wear = .0006"). TEST No. 4. Parts under test: As Test No.1 (same liners). Method of Test. Engine returned to test bed. 1 cycle. ( Start up and run immediately at 2000 r.p.m. full throttle until water reaches 80°C. (7 minutes run). Shut down, drain water and allow to cool slowly. (20 mins. stop). 50 cycles completed.
