X-3607 X4242 To R from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Copy to DN. Copy to EFC. RECEIVED DAL/CB3-9-20. We send herewith a print of "N" Scheme 320 shewing the proposed arrangement of Detachable Starting handle for Goshawk, of which two alternatives are shown - Fig 1 being a solid shaft in which the drive between the starting handle and the shaft is made by castellations, and Fig 2 being a built-up tubular shaft with brazed ends and straight jaws for taking the drive. We have shewn a solid starting handle in each case as we thought this cheaper than building one up. We also shew views of two alternative plugs for stopping the end of the shaft when the handle is not in use. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
