To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from BY/Shn. c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [Crossed out text: c. to Mr for his notebook.] X3464 BY/Shn4/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}11.5.22. z X.3464 - 40/50 CHASSIS - STARTING HANDLE. In order to reduce the radial movement in the Starting Handle Clutch in the support bush, which on some chassis is the cause of rattling, Mr Bailey wishes you to produce 6 bushes E.998 bored 2.434+2 instead of 2.450+2. This will reduce the movement from (.018 - .022) down to (.002 - .006). These could be tried out on experimental and test chassis.
