For the attention of MR. Burton.

Dear Burton,

We have received your letter on riding comfort. It is very interesting, but what are we going to do about it?

I should be very glad to hear whether you have obtained any further results with the Delco shock absorbers. The set of four have now arrived and we are fitting them on to one of our cars, but we should like to know whether you have tried any further adjustments and whether you have arrived at any definite conclusions.

RH.{R. Hollingworth} has carried out some exhaustive tests with the Delco shock absorbers on our test rig and shortly we will send you along a complete report.

The report shews that the rate of pressure rise on the Delco's is much less than ours although of course the loads, especially on the re-bound, are very much higher. We have a very open mind and I believe we shall come to much higher shock absorber loads.

We find that the Delco Co. have copied our dimensions so exactly that their piston will fit in our shock absorber without any modification, and I am pressing that we adopt their type of piston with a lever to suit as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully
