Bentley Starter Motor fitted to 20/25 Chassis.

In view of the fact that the Bentley type of starter motor to R.R.Scheme 399 is now being fitted to the 20/25, the production specification limits will have to be slightly amended in view of the different flywheel gear ratio.

Therefore for the new motor arranged to work with the standard 20/25 gear of 8.43:1, the figures for the load test as given on page 2 of the existing Bentley starter motor specification dated 16.11.33. Should be amended to read -

"42 to 43.5 lb.in. for the torque and minimum speed to be 1500 R.P.M."
