- 2 - SUSPENSION. In comparison with our Vauxhall 10 HP. this is a poor ride, pitches badly at front and feels to hard at rear. There is a tendency for the car to roll when taking bends. The road springs squeak badly. MISCELLANEOUS. The accelerator pedal is placed in a position which is most uncomfortable to the driver, after driving a few miles the right foot begins to ache. Starter control knob on instrument board poor design for grip. Starter gears very noisy in operation. With regard to the body, the seating accommodation is poor for 10 HP. car. The front seating in particular is cramped for room. It is very difficult to operate the front windows, the window winders being situated low down the doors, by the side of the front seats and much too close to the seat cushions. The accommodation in the rear boot is good, much more roomy than previous models. The interior finished of body generally is cheap and shoddy. The body is bad for wind noise and draughts. The sunshine roof rattles. We give herewith specification of the car and actual performance figures taken on the road :- Top Gear Performance. 10 - 20 M.P.H. - 8.7 Secs. 10 - 30 " - 16.2 " 10 - 40 " - 25.6 " 10 - 50 " - 36.7 " 10 - 58 " - 58.0 " Maximum Speed Alleged 64 M.P.H.
