MODEL CRANK TESTS.

We have now completed the tests on the
model cranks make in Nitro Alloy steel with the following
results :-

Des. 995. Model of Des. 989 .295 Webs.
Flywheel R.P.M. 400. Stroke 6.0"
Moment of inertia of flywheel 19.55 lbs Ft2
Material S/AL.

Crank No. Time Run. Total Reversals.
1 1 hr. 40 min. 79,200
2 3 hrs. 14 min. 154,120
3 4 hrs. 34 min. 218,220
4 3 hrs. 40 min. 174,860

It will be observed that these shafts
have given better results than those in any other material.
