V/1238 Four "Rapson" Super Comfort S.S. Cord Tyres 33 X 5 (actual 33 1/2 X 6) returned to the makers on 17.7.24 per MM.Hernu, Féron, Paris. R.R. N° & Maker's N°. Where fitted. REMARKS. R.{Sir Henry Royce} 1. 85444. N.S.R. Punctured at 1424 miles & removed being worn to the last layer of cord. Total loss of air pressure throughout run 3 lbs. R.{Sir Henry Royce} 2. 85428. O.S.R. Burst when worn down to the last layer of cord, having run 1762 miles. Total loss of pressure throughout the run - Nil. R.{Sir Henry Royce} 3. 85671. O.S.F. Worn down to the cord and removed after 2932 miles. Total loss of air pressure throughout the run - Nil. R.{Sir Henry Royce} 4. 85435. N.S.F. Worn down to cord. Total loss of air pressure throughout the run - Nil. We do not consider that these tyres in any way merit the title of Super Comfort tyres. In this respect they are inferior to the standard Dunlops. During the short time that they were on the car, there was a noticeable increase in body rattles. The rear tyres were run to the last layer of cord, and the front as far as possible consistent with safety. "R.M | ||
