X457 Ref. 92. (11) Mr A.V.Hanbury 4/12/11 "S" X670 re Mr Hennings suggestions attached. JBB4/41211 With reference to Mr Hennings note dated November 21st, this matter has been brought before the Technical Committee, and they agree that the lubrication of the rear ball joint end of the logitudinal steering rod should be made more convenient. They do not, however, advise the scheme employed on the radius rod, owing to the fact that this would necessitate a very large quantity of oil being carried in the rod. The drawing office has been instructed to go into the matter and devise some scheme to render this accessible. It is possible that some form of door or flap in the valance will be the most convenient scheme. With reference to the suggestion concerning the gear box filler, | ||
