Bentley 4¼ litre Clutches. C.1/C.28.4.36. We are very interested in Mr. Raymond Mays' clutch. We should like to have tried the car had this been possible. So far we have been unfortunate in our efforts to see a bad example of these clutches. The trials car which was reported to be unsatisfactory I tried myself and it was really excellent. We got another report that it was behaving badly and sent a man down to try it, but though the car was run for an hour and a half and the clutch even ill-treated, not a sign of the trouble could be experienced. This was agreed by Crawford and Fraser. We do not doubt that something is happening with these clutches and that in this case the behaviour was inconsistent. It would be a great help to us if we could try an actual example. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
