| COPY Raymond Mays, Eastgate House, Bourne. April 27th 1936 W.M.Cowen,Esq. Dear Mr. Cowen, Further to my letter of yesterday and our 'phone conversation of this morning, I shall be very interested indeed to have your report on my complaint, and shall look forward to hearing from you. There are a few points which still require attention to my car and when I am next able to let you have it for a couple of days I will be pleased to do so. Below are the points which now require attention. 1. The clutch is definitely not so good or smooth in action as on my old car - Unless the driver is very careful it is apt to 'judder.' 2. At certain times the petrol pump 'clicks' and makes rather a lot of noise. 3. The steering column appears to be a little loose, and requires generally tightening up. 4. The luggage compartment door will not always open. The right hand side handle does not always free from its groove and yesterday I was unable to open the luggage door at all. All these are minor points, and I will have a word with you when I am in London. Kind regards. Yours sincerely (Sd) Raymond Mays. PS. I should like to have the Lucas horns fitted as soon as Derby have made a new fitting. | ||
