E.YORKS.

For the attention of Gordon Armstrong, Esq.

Dear Sirs,

Before the holidays we sent you a drawing of a suggested damper for R.R. and Bentley cars and said we would come to see you about it as soon as possible. We have not tried to make an appointment chiefly because since then we have been testing the Oyston Valve, drawings of which we sent you some weeks back.

We have taken some indicator diagrams of a damper fitted with this valve and these are extremely interesting. We shall shortly get some results on the road and ride records and if these are satisfactory we shall have to consider dropping the autolock damper in favour of this one.

When we have these further results we shall communicate with you again. As you said you were willing to make us a special damper we hope that you do not mind which valve it has. The Oyston valve should be cheaper to produce.

Yours faithfully,
for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
