We thank you for your letter of the 20th. inst. under above reference and have pleasure in advising you that we have been able to send today, under separate cover, a combined air filter and silencer as illustration returned herewith. We should explain that this type of air filter and silencer is not at present manufactured in our own works but we should be pleased to quote you for this unit, exactly as sample or with any required modifications, in the event that you are interested. You will note, on examination of our sample, that the filter element is not removable. To clean the element it is necessary to remove the entire unit and wash in petrol or paraffin. We take this opportunity to enclose particulars of our BIC type filter and should value an opportunity to design a combined air silencer and filter incorporating this very efficient air cleaner element. We are also sending you a leaflet describing the Burgess Micro Switch for which we think you may find many applications. We should be pleased to submit samples for your consideration and test.
