W/S. X 1725 To Bly.{B. W. Bleaney - Bentley Sales} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}2/KT. 26.9.33. XVSY26 BENTLEY PERFORMANCE. Thank you for your Bly.{B. W. Bleaney - Bentley Sales}4/HEM .25.9.33. We are sorry, but we have no braking figures applicable to the production model; as soon as these are available we will certainly let you have them. The following acceleration figures were obtained on our saloon car 1.B.IV. fitted with a 10/41 ratio rear axle, and the weight of which car was 30 1/2 cwt. TOP GEAR. 10 - 20 m.p.h. in 4.35 secs. 10 - 30 " " 8.65 " 10 - 40 " " 12.6 " 10 - 50 " " 17 " 10 - 60 " " 21.9 " 10 - 70 " " 30.4 " 10 - 80 " " 41.4 " Standing start through gears in 35.5 secs. These figures, owing to the car being heavier, are not quite as good as the figures obtained on the open car 4.B.IV. with the high gear ratio. They were obtained some little time ago, but we think they are fairly representative of the production model when fitted with a body of similar weight. The compression ratio of the production Bentley is 6.62 : 1. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
