-2- Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/3D7/KH.1.9.31. point is reached at which additional damping all round prevents pitching, the general riding will be very hard and although Mr.Muhlenkamp may be satisfied, his wife, who as you say is very light and usually sits alone at the back, will begin to complain. In view of this fact, we think that Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s previous suggestion that lower rating rear springs be fitted is the best solution, and it has the further advantage that it will not en- tail any big expense as the existing rear springs will be very useful to us. The hydraulic shock dampers will require increasing in poundage, and the Hartfords now fitted should be a definite advantage in giving good road holding at speed. The foregoing has been discussed with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, who fully agrees. On the whole, we are inclined strongly to recommend this, as we can supply almost immediately a pair of low rating rear springs and modified shock dampers to 'N', who can fit them on the car very easily and at no greater expense than the cost of the labour involved. We await further instructions in this matter before taking any action. Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister} | ||
