X 350 W/LH.{Mr Haworth} - Mr. Hamilton. c. to GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} (Cricklewood). Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}23/KW.7.10.36. Thank you for your note HFH{Hoppy F. Hamilton}/1/1/3.10.36. We quite agree that it is obviously wrong for the lower ball pad to rotate with the ball. These are supposed to be a tight fit in the housing but it is possible that the cross steering tubes on 32-EX, which were on 32-EX, were built up before the tight fitwas instructed. We intend to try sweating these pads into the housing and will do this on 35-EX when the car returns to Derby. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/F.J.Hardy. | ||
