We have recently had two cases of the magneto control countershaft lever seizing up on its pin owing to lack of lubrication. The effect of this is to prevent any alteration in position of the magneto sleeve either by hand control or by the relay governor, and also to re-act on the relay governor through the controls and upset the correct working of the system. No means of lubrication is provided for at this point; we think it is essential that this should be corrected either by a small Rotherham lubricator or an oil hole drilled through the lever.
