Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X8685 Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}11/D17.5.27. Re Oil Relay Filter. - Phantom. Some little time ago we had occasion to bring to your notice a case where the milled nut at the bottom of the Oil Relay Cylinder worked loose, and all the oil in the Engine ran out, causing seizure of the Bearings. In memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LGL.10.26. it was stated that arrangements were being made to lock this Nut in order to obviate any further trouble, but we do not appear to have heard anything further since this date. We shall be pleased to know if it is proposed to take any action in this matter. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} | ||
