Last month you mentioned to me that the float chamber of this type of carburetter is coated inside with some kind of black enamel, which presumably resists petrol. At your suggestion I wrote Mr.Hobson to ascertain whether he was at liberty to state what the substance is, whether it can be bought commercially and, if so, where and what is the manner of application.

I have had a reply from Mr.Hobson stating that the enamel referred to is a substance prepared and registered by them and is applied by a secret process which he is not at liberty to divulge.

Messrs.H.M.Hobson Ltd. will be pleased to give us a quotation for the treatment of any material which we may wish to have treated, provided it is possible for them (Hobsons) to cope with the work.
