Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.
Nightingale Rd.
Derby.

Dear Sirs,

Maconite H.T. Ignition Flexible
Our D.O.14022.

We duly received your favour of the 25th ultimo, requesting us to put in hand 22 yards material exactly as now supplied but with an outside covering of varnished cambric.

It has been carefully noted that the overall diameter of this material is not to be greater than that of the Ignition Flexible which we are now supplying to you. Manufacture is proceeding accordingly.

We are proposing to supply, in order that you can carry out an experiment and see which of the two types is the most suitable, a length of "Maconite" H.T. Flexible, but finished with a covering of special oil resisting material, braided and varnished overall. This latter length will be supplied "no charge" in the hope that you will put it to test and favour us with your opinion.

Yours faithfully,

THE MACINTOSH CABLE CO. Ltd.
