X.3860. (crossed out) VARNISHED CAMBRIC COVERED MACONITE H.T. CABLE

Will you please obtain for us for experiment, a quantity sufficient for two Phantom II chassis (Battery and Magneto wires) of Maconites H.T. cable of the same outside diameter as our present standard Maconites H.T. cable but made up with varnished cambric outer covering (like sistoflex) for protection from oil and heat.

Particular care is necessary that the present limit of outside diameter is not exceeded as otherwise there will be considerable difficulty in assembling these experimental wires in their tubes.

Perhaps it would be as well to put the matter to the Macintosh Cable Co. in the form of an enquiry in the first instance. It might, for instance, be considered more expedient for them to provide us, in the first instance, with samples for bench test.
