Dear Dick,

Thank you for your letter of the 17th.

I don't think Donington is as dangerous as it used to be. It is an excellent test of brakes and road holding, however.

With regard to your car, we are having one of our rare holidays on Tuesday next and the Works do not re-open until Wednesday. As a matter of fact, I am not really ready with a practical solution of your frame jellying troubles. By that I mean that there is very little chance of my being able to return your car to you any better after having it a week, though I could probably learn a lot from it.

If in view of these facts you would still like us to have it and could give me a ring on Wednesday, we could send somebody over to collect the car and leave you something else to drive.

I hope that you are having a pleasant holiday, and that Mrs. Summers is recovering.

Yours sincerely,
