X.4187 - SCINTILLA MAGNETOS.

We are sending into the Stores for return to Messrs. Brown, Boveri & Co.Ltd., 9, Old Queen Street, Westminster, London, S.W.1, the two Scintilla magnetos which they have recently submitted to us for inspection and if necessary test. Owing to the fact that Mr. Royce considered the design involved too much novelty to be of any use to us, we are returning these, after inspection, but without test. We had offered to buy one of these from the Brown, Boveri Co., so that we could carry out tests at our own convenience and if necessary to destruction, but they do not favour this course. They would rather loan us the magnetos for any period up to 12 months, which is now, however, a policy with which we do not agree. There is no alternative, therefore, but to return these magnetos.

Will Shipping Office kindly give instructions for these to be despatched and will the C.O. kindly write Messrs. Brown, Boveri & Company accordingly.
