This slide action switch, however, would not be suitable for fog lamp actuation because it is too difficult to operate and I suggest that for long term, universal use, we should design and produce for ourselves a sunken escutcheon (similar in appearance to the heater blower switch) mountable from the face of the instrument board and capable of carrying any of the known type of standard tumbler switches.
