WRAITH WATER PUMP.

26.G.VI car which is running in France has been reported to be suffering from squeaks from the water pump. This trouble also occurs occasionally on Ph.III due to the rotor blades fouling either the pump case or cover.

In order to get over this trouble, we wish to try the thrust plug arrangement shown on Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}351 attached, and a thrust bush to take the thrust in the opposite direction made from some material such as "Tufnol Whale". Will you please detail and instruct the necessary pieces for this scheme as soon as possible. Two sets will be required for test purposes.

Will you also give us a "Tufnol Whale" thrust bush for the Ph.III pump to be used instead of EXS.432 with EXS.431.
