FLYWHEEL VIBRATIONS ON 25 HP.

Experiments on 12-G4 showed that -

(1) With Std. flywheel the vibration period is at 3100 R.P.M.

(2) With flywheel of 32% less inertia the period was unchanged.

(3) With lever plate, pressure plate and driven member removed, a straight through drive from the crankshaft to the gear box being fitted, the period had vanished.

(4) Retaining the straight through drive and putting back all the moving parts, the period was still non-existent.
