X.6015. PUSH BUTTON SWITCH WITHOUT CARBON CONTACTS.

Further to our EFCB/ADM8.8.30 and in view of Mr.Elliott's note E3/M27.9.30, we are arranging to send for your inspection the switch referred to in our previous report EFC1/AD30.5.30 which has been tried out by the Test Dept. and subsequently run on our automatic test rig covering a total number of 20,000 switchings of which the middle 10,000 were made with the main switch operating circuit broken, and of which the first and last 5,000 switchings were made with the motor pinion engaging but not being thrown out of engagement.

In addition to the above, this switch has further been used for a large number of bench automatic switchings in connection with our tests reported in our EFC2/AD20.8.30 on gear ring and pinion both with sharp edged teeth.

The very good condition of the contact points considering the number of switchings made by the switch will be observed.

EFC.
