4006 To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/ILW. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. Chateauroux. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.7/MH.{M. Huckerby}29.10.38. 8.B.V. COOLING SYSTEM. We have just received the damaged matrix unit returned off 8.B.V. and on examining interior of tanks of same, we find that there appears to be a good deal of oil present. Can you offer any suggestion as to how or why there is oil in the cooling system, in view of the fact that no oil cooler is fitted on B.III ? We presume that you are determining whether there is any water loss on this car and at what level the water level remains stationary, exactly as in 20.G.VI. - if not will you please do so and let us have the results as soon as possible. We would also like to have some report about the heater and defrosters if you get suitable weather to test same. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
