The storage and organization of engine drawings and schemes in various cabinets and sections.

ASHBY. A.Schemes. Each cabinet measures 17" wide X 51" high X 28" deep. The following Sections are catered for with cabinets allocated as stated : 1. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} 2 cabinets for R.R.) duplicate drawings. 2 " " A.M.) In these are stored : Petrol Injection. Details and L.O.P's. "M" schemes. Sizes I and II. (42 - 261) (Why is scheme 348 missing?) "M" schemes. Sizes III. (12 - 330) "M" schemes. Sizes IV. (28 - 319) "M" schemes. Sizes V.{VIENNA} (I - 327) NOTE. If necessary, one set of the above drawings would go in one cabinet. 2- Gallimore. (Tools) 36 full drawers. ) Drawings in duplicate. 12 part full drawers.) R.R. and A.M. If, as Mattinson alleges, a full set of Merlin X drawings are thus stored, it is essential to know exactly what Gallimore has stored. 3- Elliott. (Aero General) It is alleged that drawings are stored for Griffon, Merlin, Exe XXX, Vulture and Peregrine. There is no proof of this. DES schemes appear to be stored from 3000 to 8971 but many may be missing. (but not in duplicate.) EXE engine. DG's are stored in one drawer but we do not know whether a complete engine could be made from them, and we do not know how many parts on EXE are common to anything else. - Continued - | ||
