Item 13 on agenda - Located Jacks and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/L141/MJ19.11.31.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} reported that a car had been fitted up with the Jackall scheme but certain parts had failed and had been returned to makers for improvement.

Another make of jacking system known as the D.W.S. is now being fitted for trial.

Item 14 on agenda - Present position re petrol gauges. see Item 18 on Minutes of last meeting.

The Smith electrical gauge will come on as standard on "U" Series with the new Smith instruments.

Item 15 on agenda - Spares, Tool Kits. Wors/G812.12.31, S/S/Y23.12.31, and KY1/C29.12.31.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} read out a complaint which arose out of the fact that, as no special tools were included in the tool kit for removing the rear hubs, we had to send a man to Ireland to remove the hubs from a car which had trouble with the brakes.

It would appear that the tools for this operation should again be supplied in the tool kit, as it is not possible to take off the hubs with any standard garage tools.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and EY. will consider this point and report.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} suggested that a smaller and less expensive oil can be provided, also a smaller grease gun. He will submit samples to EY.

It was agreed to revert to double ended spanners in place of the single ended ones now being used, when the present stock is exhausted.

EY's reduced list of tools was handed to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and he will consider this with a view to making further suggestions.
