Captain Green,

BATH.

Dear Captain Green,

Further to our telephone conversation, we should like you to confirm that Rolls Royce are responsible for the prototype mountings for the 40 mm. Mk.{R. E. B. Meade-King} XIV. gun.

At the moment, there seems to be a tendency for the L.M. & S. Railways to modify the mounting to suit their manufacturing convenience, without submitting such modifications to us, and if this continues, we shall eventually get in a mess.

Will you please allot us one pedestal type mounting complete, to retain at Derby for Experimental work.

Yours sincerely,
