RE "GOSHAWK II" CAMSHAFT BEARINGS.

We send you herewith drawing No. Led.1372 shewing the camshaft bearings for "Goshawk II", and the details of the local coring of the crankcase, also the method of fixing the camshaft bearings.
We would draw attention to the fact that the cross webs of the crankcase do not exist in the space enclosed by the camshaft bearing and the main bearing bolt. The camshaft bearings Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are all interchange-able, and are made with a shorter cylindrical control in the crankcase than originally shown on the arrangement of the engine. These bearings should be tried in both bronze, and cast iron.
This drawing also gives details of the end plugs of the main oil pipe, and also details of the oil delivery slots in the valve tappet guides which pass the oil through into the crankcase which descends from the valve gear above the cylinder block.
