Messrs. Dunlop Rubber Co. Ltd.,
Fort Dunlop,
Erdington,
BIRMINGHAM.

For the attention of Mr. Price.

Dear Sirs,

We have given further consideration to the wire wheel problem in view of your telephone conversation this morning, and we have decided that for the 300 sets which are on order we are unwilling to go to the 'E' type rim with its consequent balance weight difficulties. We regret to give you any extra trouble that this causes, but think you will appreciate our point of view.

In addition we would ask you to work to the plus or minus 10 thou limit on the position of the rim because of the very limited space between the wheel and the brake drum for the fitting of the discs.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
