-3- 20/25 HP. (1) Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} Swindall will say why the 20/25 exhaust valve is running 100°C. hotter than the Bentley. (2) Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} Leslie will go over 21-0-IV ride and try and make it reasonable. At present it appears to be quite unnecessarily uncomfortable. (3) IVE. Ives. will follow up some tyres for the 20/25 HP. on the same lines as those fitted to 32-EX. We have ordered these tyres from Dunlops. PHANTOM III. (1) Hym. Hyman should try JJ-EX for detonation, and see if there is any explanation as to why the tappet clearances should increase after running. It should have the proper cylinder head fitted as soon as possible. (2) Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} should see whether if hexagons are put on the main jets, the car will still stand up to the load which can thus be applied. (3) J.R. Ratcliffe should follow up the "luffing up" trouble which has occurred on Ph.III's. (4) Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} Leslie should follow up the front damper noise on 36-EX. (5) Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} Leslie should clear up the position of the rubber between the axle and the spring. (6) Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} should check up J-III crankcase stiffness. (7) F.d.H. Hardy should persevere with making one of our steerings as good as the La{L. A. Archer} Salle. Also with confirming or otherwise Olley's theory on tube steering. (8) Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Follow up prop. shaft trouble. Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
