Chassis Weights. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}18/T/W171113. With reference to your memo Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/SM15/L/R1113, our standard chassis weights for 2000 was from 3060 lbs. to 3090 lbs. (Varied according to strength of springs fitted). We found it necessary to increase this for the 2100 and 2200 series to from 3090 lbs. to 3115 lbs. (Grasshopper springs) and again in 2300 series to from 3100 lbs. to 3130 lbs. We found from actual weights of the 2400, 2500 and 2600 series it was not necessary to change the standard weight, but it is a fact that the weights generally were inclined to be nearer the maximum allowance, i.e. 3130 lbs. when 2500 and 2600 series came through. These weights refer to standard chassis, - colonial will be proportionately heavier. The weights of the 2700 series are as follows:- This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. Handwritten text: X200 Stamped text: U.W. | ||
